Happy 7-month birthday to my little elves!
June "Rockin' around the Christmas tree" Schwind
Jude "I want a red rider BB gun for Christmas" Schwind
This month they don't have to go to the doctor for a well baby check-up, so I'm not sure what their weights are. Using our bathroom scale they seem to both be a little over 20lbs! Huge babies! This past month also marked June and Jude's first cold :( The cold was bad for two main reasons, 1: it was hard for them to nurse with a stuffy nose and 2: it was hard for them to sleep with a stuffy nose. Therefore, the Schwind household had two sleep-deprived, hungry, snotty-nosed kids this past week and a half. We are slowly making our way through it though. On to other news, I can confidently say that they are both sitting unsupported. Every now then one might tip over and bump their head, but it hardly phases either one now. June has figured out how to army crawl like her brother, so I now have two extremely mobile babies! Gone are the days when I could put them in one spot and then find them there when I return. In fact, they both can crawl from the living room to the kitchen and then back to the office if there is enough motivation (i.e. a cool toy or they spotted Mom!). Speaking of Mom, they are definitely in the infant stages of separation anxiety. Right now, you can usually distract them when I put them down or hand them off and they forget that they miss me. However, I can see this getting more difficult as time goes by. Before I had kids, I always thought it was so precious to see a kid 'love' his/her mom so much that they didn't want to part from them. Now, with twins, it's a whole different ball game. Having two clingy kids is going to be quite the adventure! I can't believe they are already 7-months old. This age is really such a fun stage. We are sooooo looking forward to their first Christmas! In my spare time (what's that?), I've been trying to think of fun traditions to start with them. If you have any suggestions, let me know :)
Been here long? Why yes! 7-months!

CUTE! They have matching right cheek dimples!
I can't believe how big they have gotten! This reminds me of the other day when I was folding a blanket that my girls used to lay/play on, can't believe they stayed put on such a small space, seems like ages ago. Now they are walking, climbing and role playing!
Saline spray was a life saver for the stuffy and runny noses. I would do it just before nursing, sometime even using the blub suction thing and it would clear everyone enough to nurse well.
Fun Christmas traditions we do are a picture in front of the Christmas tree each year, going to look at Christmas lights, and each year each child gets a new ornament (when they are grown they get to take their ornaments).
Wishing you all the best!
